When researching places to visit and photograph in San Francisco, Twin Peaks quickly became one of the top 10's. The Peaks are 922 feet in elevation and give remarkable views of the city, that is when they aren't shrouded in fog!
So it was a beautiful sunny afternoon I decided to trek up to the top. There is a car park at the top for drivers, but for those without a car, buses do serve the Peaks although they do stop near the bottom. And the one I got stopped right at the very bottom. A 20 gut busting minutes later (it is, as with all San Fran up steep hills) I got to the base, took a deep breath and slugged the rest of the way to the top.
By the time I had got to the summit from our apartment the fog was setting in fast, covering the hills, the city, the bay, pretty much everything. I stayed for about 3 hours, photographing it in all its stages up till night. These are a few of my favourites.
